Workshop on FM Mapping SoftwareBangladesh Betar arranged a day long workshop in Dhaka on 31st October, 2007 about the coverage prediction of FM broadcasting. Hertz Mapping Software as a tool for FM coverage prediction was the topic of the workshop. According to the on-going broadcast agreement between Bangladesh Betar and the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Mr. Simon Gosby, Chief Engineer of the BBC has handed over the software to Bangladesh Betar and conducted the workshop. Fifteen engineers from Bangladesh Betar attended the workshop. Hertz Mapping Software is very much useful to prepare a realistic FM transmission network in a region as it considers all necessary geographical information. Bangladesh Betar has been enriched with necessary knowledge and tools in FM planning through the workshop.
